Biography
Veronica began her study of Traditional Okinawan Karate in 2014 at the age of 4 at the Rooke School of Karate in Morinville, Alberta. She began as an Orange belt in Karate Kids & achieved the rank of Junior Nidan at the age of 12.
Learning Uechi-Ryu Kata came naturally to Veronica. When Kumite was introduced to her it opened up a whole new world within karate to explore. She is learning & implementing the balance between lifestyle & sport of Martial Arts into her life.
Veronica began competition training at age 11 and has competed and medaled in many local tournaments. Early in 2023 at the age of 12 she became a Team Prospect for the Karate Alberta Provincial Team, and thus earning a spot on the 2023 team. She also made the provinicial team for 2024 earning her a spot on the team at the 2024 Canadian National Karate Championship Tournament in July 2024.

- 2023- Silver in Youth Advance Kumite - Alberta Provincial Selection Tournament
- 2023 - 9th in Kumite Individual Female, Youth +52 kg at Canadian National Karate Championship Tournament
- 2023- 11th Kata Individual Female Youth at Canadian National Karate Championship Tournament
- 2023 - Gold - Kata at the Kenyukai Koshukai Spirit of the North
- 2023- Gold in Kumite at the Kenyukai Koshukai Spirit of the North

Her Silver win at the 2024 Nationals Tournament earned her a spot on the Jr Karate Canada Team with an invite to the Jr. Pan Am Games in Brazil August 2024.
